It was a perfect day for a bridesmaid shoot, the sun was shining on and off, so it was great for lighting. I chose to photograph the model in a gorgeous teal bridesmaid dress to compliment her green eyes. A simple floral bouquet of purple daisies, lilies, spider mums, fuchsia hyacinths and a single white rose was selected to enhance the dress.
The dress was a strapless bodice, with a sweetheart neckline, designed with asymmetrical pleats, long skirt drapes with side shirred look, the dress fastened with a zip at the side. The model did her own hair and make up for the shoot, creating a natural look.
The photoshoot was taken in the stunning grounds of St. Mary’s Church in Ashby Folville in Leicestershire. The beautiful ironstone church with limestone dressings, is set back off the road surrounded by luscious greenery. A beautiful venue for a wedding!
For this shoot I wanted to take mainly natural poses of the model with a few posed. The golden goodness that is is seen in the ironstone reflected on the models skin to add the element of warmth. I added a few black and white edits as they always add a nice touch to a selection of photographs.
I have added a few photographs from the shoot for you to have a look at below…
