Lisa and Carls wedding took place at the quaint All Saint’s Church in Asfordby in Leicestershire. The church has a lovely golden richness from the ironstone exterior and this detail continues inside, on the pillars and the arches. It was a blustery overcast day, but fear not, it did not stop this great couple from having a fabulous wedding day. The church its self is set in beautiful grounds, surrounded by greenery and is located in the centre of the village.
Guests arrived at the wedding and the church was soon full, some guests had to stand at the back. It was clear to see this was a very popular couple, with lots of friends and relatives who had travelled far and wide to see the marriage of Lisa and Carl.
Lisa arrived at the church in a old english white Jaguar MkV 1949. She looked stunning in her dress, with the most gorgeous beading detail and her long veil had a delicate lace trim. To compliment her dress she wore a delicate necklace with a small diamond and matching earrings. Her bouquet was beautiful, with mauve pink and white roses and peonies (These beautiful flowers were put together by Sophie’s Flower Company). The bridesmaids were dressed in mauve floor length dresses and each had a smaller bouquet to compliment Lisa’s.
After the ceremony Lisa and Carl gathered with family for photographs and had a few on their own. Guests then made their way over to Waltham Village Hall. The village hall was decorated inside to feel like a grand marquee with tiny fairy lights that created a lovely ambience. The tables were dressed to a rustic theme. Each with a hessian table runner, beautiful roses and peonies were stood in a large cream vintage jug on a chunky wood slice. The places were finished off with little wooden places names and a small bottle of Limoncello for their guest favours.
The guests danced the night away till late!
